Ice Out on Gooderham Lake 2012

Went to bed last night with the lake still 75% covered with ice, but when we woke up this morning (March 24th, 2012) the ice was GONE! This is almost a month earlier than last year, and is a record as far as I can recall.

I'm a early riser and have taken to playing my Eigenharp in the dark.

This morning was cold so I lit a fire, moved the chair and as I was sitting noticed this reflection of the instrument in the window against the moonset

Moving South 2011

Well, we put it off as long as we could, but we officially moved South into the newer house for the winter on Saturday, December 3rd. We were going to move on Friday, December 2nd, but it was such a beautiful day that we decided to stay one more night. The lake is not yet frozen over, but we had to choose a moving day without a lot of precipitation so that things being moved didn't get soaked.
